The incomparable views at Molas Lake, near Silverton, Colorado are on display with this image taken at sunrise in the summer of 2023. We camped in the campground surrounding the lake, and were up before dawn all three days we were there, shooting this same angle. This is our favorite image taken as the sun had just risen over the mountains to the east and started to warm the pine trees on the opposite shore. The lake was like glass with the only ripples coming from some hungry trout breaking the surface.
