On our recent trip to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park in the winter of 2022, Chris and I came upon this scene of Bull Elk as we were leaving the park in a very heavy snowstorm. I jumped out of the car and shot this handheld, with the heavy snow keeping me from getting a super sharp focus on the Elk. But that also added to the mood of the image. We went back a couple of times to try and duplicate this shot but since they are Elk and not paid talent, they were not there... Despite the snow “filter” this instantly became one of our favorite and most popular images in our collection.
